How to Recognize and Report Child Trafficking in Las Vegas and Nevada
The Reality in Las Vegas
The FBI has identified Las Vegas as one of 13 High Intensity Child Prostitution Areas in the United States. Transient tourism, major events, and major highways create conditions that traffickers exploit. Child trafficking thrives in silence — our mission is to shine a light on it and equip people to act.
Warning Signs to Watch For
A child may be a victim if they: appear fearful, anxious, or submissive; have no identification or control of their own documents; show signs of physical abuse or malnourishment; are with an older person who speaks for them; or exhibit sudden changes in behavior, school attendance, or online activity. Trust your instincts.

How to Report
If you suspect a child is being trafficked, call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 (or text 233733). In an emergency, call 911. You can also contact local law enforcement or the Stop the Traffic Foundation for guidance on connecting with the right resources.
What We're Doing
Through the Lift the Veil program we advocate for technology that helps law enforcement detect hidden victims. Our Safe Haven Network trains local businesses as safe access points. We produce free professional media for other anti-trafficking organizations, and we push for stronger Nevada laws that treat trafficked minors as victims, not criminals.
